Car Insurance Land Rover (Car Insurance). What is the difference between Touring tires and All Season tires? What is the difference between Touring tires and All Season tires? The ride and safety. A luxury touring tire [or even better, a grand touring tire] is used to improve the ride. With a nice set of these tires, you will not feel most of the bumps in the road. That said, they are more expensive and have a shorter shelf life than all season tires. All season tires will last far longer than touring tires. Also, they are made to be more safe when driving in snow and rain. If you live somewhere it is always warm [or you have the money to own two sets of tires] I definitely recommend the grand touring tires. Cost, Ride & Tread Design. Treads design is the basic difference, and the rubber compound for bad weather traction and stopping. cost design and durability touring is for road not ice roads though thats why all season tires are better for ice bc they are made for that Touring tires can (and usually are) All-season tires but the reverse is not necessarily true. When I am sitting in my car at this one intersection by my home, I can hear a constant beeping, every single time I am there which is usually at least twice a day. There is a four-way traffic light at this intersection. It sounds like the beeping sound is coming from that pole where you press the button to cross the street. Land Rover . How to Change the Fuel Filter on a 1997 F150The 1997 Ford F150 is a fuel injected 1/2-ton light duty pickup. The fuel system relies on a fuel pump to bring gasoline from the tank, pump it forward and into the fuel injectors, where it mixes with air in the combustion chamber. Unfortunately, gasoline contains contamination such sediment deposits and other particulates that can foul or otherwise harm the fuel injectors. This is where the inline fuel filter comes in handy. According to Ford Motor Company, you should replace the fuel filter every 15,000 miles. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Drop pan Socket set Fuel line disconnect tool New filter Step by Step : 1 Slide the drip pan under the driver side of the truck, below the driver door. Climb under with the socket set, fuel line disconnect tool and new filter. 2 Unbolt the fuel filter retaining strap with the socket set. The filter is located along the inboard side of the frame, below the driver seat. When in doubt, simply follow the fuel lines forward from the fuel tank until you locate the filter. 3 Disconnect the front fuel line from the fuel filter with the fuel line disconnect tool. The line flares out where the filter outlet enters it and a retaining clip holds it in place. You can unseat this clip with a pocket screwdriver or a pick, but it's not advisable, as the clip tends to break if pried on unevenly. 4 Pull the fuel line off the front of the fuel filter and then pull the filter out of the rear line and retaining strap. Put the old filter in the drip pan. 5 Slide the new filter into the retaining strap and plug the inlet into the rear fuel line. Make sure the arrow indicating flow direction points toward the engine. Connect the front fuel line, push the retaining clip back into place and bolt the retaining strap back to the frame. 6 Climb out, get in the truck and turn the ignition key to the run position. Wait for the fuel pump to stop running (this should be about 10 seconds) and start the truck. Tips & Warnings Never work on the fuel system while smoking or around open flames.
Land Rover . How to Change the Fuel Filter in a Nissan QuestUp until 1999, the base model of the Quest came stock with a V6, which is a relatively small engine. Later production years came equipped with a larger, 3.5-liter engine. Changing the fuel filter yourself on either type of engine is a practical way to save some cash and keep your Quest running nicely. Fuel filters keep fuel injectors from clogging and help clean the fuel. Nissan recommends that you change the fuel filter in your car every 25,000 to 30,000 miles; however, depending on your driving style and the driving conditions, you may want to change it more frequently. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Wrench Goggles Gloves Rags Step by Step : 1 Locate the fuel filter. Open the hood of your car and look for a black hose that runs the length of your car--this is your fuel line. Trace the fuel line to a black, cylindrical container about three inches in diameter (you should see it on the right side of the firewall, standing in front of the car). This container holds your fuel filter. 2 Use a wrench to remove the screws that connect the fuel line to the cylindrical container. Once you have removed the screws and loosened the fuel line, you will see the fuel filter. Set the screws aside for now. 3 Use a wrench to remove the screws that hold the fuel filter in place. Take care not to drop any of the screws while you are removing them. After you have loosened the fuel filter, set the screws aside for now. 4 Replace the old fuel filter with a new one. Secure the filter using the screws you have just removed. Next, secure the fuel line back in place using a wrench to tighten the screws. 5 Check to make sure everything is secure. Turn your engine on and look underneath you car for any leaks. If you don't see any leakage, you are finished. Tips & Warnings Use gloves for an easy cleanup. Use goggles to protect your eyes. You will come in contact with fuel and fumes while changing your fuel filter. Keep open flames away. *lar cars. To check your brake fluid, do the following: 1. Open the top of your brake fluid reservoir. If you have the kind with a little plastic reservoir on top, just unscrew the cap of the reservoir. If you have a metal master cylinder that contains the reservoir, use a screwdriver to pry the retaining clamp off the top (see Figure 3-13). Figure 3-13: Releasing the lid of a metal master cylinder with a screwdriver. Always clean the top of the cylinder or reservoir carefully before opening it. A small amount of dirt falling into the fluid can cause the internal seals of the master cylinder to fail. Your brakes will begin to lose effectiveness and ultimately fail completely. 2. Look to see where the fluid level lies between the low- and high-level indicating marks on the plastic reservoir, or inside the master cylinder, to make sure that the brake fluid level is within half an inch or so of the cap. Part I: Getting Started If the level isn't high enough, add the proper brake fluid for your vehicle. (You can find instructions for buying the proper brake fluid in Chapter 18.) Also keep the following points in mind: 217

If you spill any, wipe it up immediately and get rid of the rag. Because brake fluid is toxic, take anything with more than just a couple of small spots of fluid on it to a toxic waste center. • Don't get grease or oil in your brake fluid — either one may ruin your hydraulic brake system. • Don't leave a can of brake fluid standing around open. Brake fluid soaks up moisture to keep it from settling in the hydraulic components and corroding them. If moist air gets to brake fluid for as little as 15 minutes, the fluid is ruined. So keep the can tightly closed until you're ready to use it, and if you have some fluid left over, take the can to a toxic waste center for disposal. Land Rover . Where is the charcoal canister on a 2009 GM truck?
Dodge Ram Van 2500. * If your car has a manual transmission and the brake fluid reservoir is empty when you check it, you may have to "bleed" the brake system. See Chapter 18 for step-by-step instructions. Because brake fluid deteriorates with use, it should be replaced by a mechanic if it looks dark in color. In any case, have the fluid changed every two years. Doing so protects the hydraulic components from internal corrosion and premature brake failure. Check the Pouter-Steering Fluid To check the power-steering fluid, locate the power-steering pump in your car (see Figure 3-14). If you can't find it, your owner's manual should tell you where it is. Unscrew the cap and see whether the fluid reaches the fill mark on the dipstick (or whether it's near the top of the bottle). If the level is low, check your owner's manual or dealership to see what kind of fluid your power steering pump requires. Mark this type on your Specifications Record for future reference. Check the Wiring Feel the wires that you encounter under the hood. If they feel hard and inflex ible, if bright metal wires show through the insulation, or if the wires look corroded or very messy where they attach to various devices, they may need to be changed before they short out. Until you really get to be an expert, have a professional do the rewiring for you. Land Rover . Where can you find approved government rates for car travel reimbursement for countries in Europe?
